Day 1 Arrival – Hotel Madaba

Pick up and assistance at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Madaba for the first night.

Day 2 Madaba – Jarash – Dead Sea – Mt. Nebo - Madaba

After Breakfast we depart for Petra (about 3 h on road) and to our hotel for the next three nights.
In the afternoon we will explore Little Petra, the Siq Barid, and have a glance at one of the very few preserved Nabatean paintings. Visit Beidha, a Neolithic village (about 6.500 years BC) and one of the oldest settlements in Middle East beside Jericho. 2-3 h walking.

Day 3-4 Petra

Two days in the atmosphere of this famous Nabatean city, registered in the worldwide heritage of the UNESCO. Hidden away amidst the folds of spectacular hills, this unique site was lost to the world until it was rediscovered in 1812 by the Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burckhardt.
Much has been written about Petra, nothing really prepares you for this amazing place. It has to be seen to be believed.
Walk across siqs (narrow gorges) and canyons to explore hundreds of caves, tombs, temples of any styles and any dimensions carved in the colorful sandstone of the mountains. From some places you will have a breathtaking view over this huge city. About 6 h walking a day.

Day 5-7 Wadi Rum

In the morning we drive with minibus towards the desert of Wadi Rum (1 ½ h). ). At arrival the luggage will be transferred by 4x4-Jeep. Then we continue on foot to begin the exploration of the superb reliefs of the sandstone. Weather and wind have carved the imposing, towering skyscrapers. Big wadis and small canyons, sands in changeable reflections and sometimes a Bedouin tent. Go for a walk between arks and high walls which resemble petrified waterfalls, go to the meeting of the Bedouins who welcome us warmly. You will be fascinated from the cliffs and mountains, turning into pink by the failing sun. Enjoy the nights under the stars. About 5-6 h walking a day.

Day 8 Wadi Rum – Aqaba – Amman

In the morning we will return to Rum village and then drive to Aqaba, Jordan’s only outlet to the sea. Enjoy free time with swimming, relaxing, shopping or take a trip with the glass-bottom boat at the Read Sea.
According to the desire of the group, it would be possible to return earlier to Amman, to see the old city with its colorful Souks. Last night in Amman.
