Madaba is best known for its spectacular Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics and home to the famous 6th century Mosaic Map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land. The Mosaic Map covers the floor of the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, which was built in 1896 AD, over the remains of a much earlier 6th century Byzantine church. The mosaic panel enclosing the Map was originally around 15.6 X 6m, 94 sq.m., only about a quarter of which is preserved. Visit Mt. Nebo, one of the most revered holy sites of Jordan and the place where Moses was buried.
We drive you to Karak, following the Kings Road and passing Wadi Mujib and the so called ‘Grand Canyon’ of Jordan with its spectacular views. Karak, the ancient crusader fortress, lies 900 m above sea level. Explore its endless labyrinth from arches and corridors. The castle we see today essentially dates back to the 12th century.
In the evening we will arrive in Dana, the largest nature reserve in Jordan. Stay overnight at one of the small hotels there.

Day 3 Wadi Dana – Wadi Feynan

Today the trekking-tour will start. After breakfast walk via Wadi Dana to Feynan for dinner and camping. During the walk in Wadi Dana everybody will have a Lunchbox (around 6 h trek)

Day 4 Wadi Feynan – Al Forn

Walk up slowly from Feynan via Wadi Kutlah and continue your trekking to Al Forn to your camp. Our team will await you there. (around 6-7 h trek).
During the trekking Lunchbox included.

Day 5 Al Forn – Al Sadrah

After an early breakfast we start the trekking from Al Forn, with a breathtaking view over Wadi Araba, to Al Wheidat and Al Sadrah. Lunchbox included.
Barbecue-dinner and overnight at Al Sadrah (around 6-7 h trek).

Day 6 Al Sadrah – Little Petra - Petra

Small walk to visit Al Farsh and Little Petra Ruins (5 h trek).
Enjoy the wonderful colours of the mountains, where you always have a fresh breeze of air, to see the ancient site where the nabateans lived. This area was specialised for the nabatean merchandise where they spend their nights. See the different chambers Triclinium and Biclinium. Continue your walk to see the unique nabatean paintings (Lunchbox included).
Afterwards transfer to the hotel in Petra.

Day 7 Petra

After breakfast at the hotel we start our classic trip to visit Petra from the Visitor Center. Pass the unique Siq, Khazne Faraun, the High place of sacriface and continue via Wadi Farasa with its temples and beautiful colours.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 Petra

Today we will enter to the impressive Ed-Deir Monastery from behind, off the beaten track. Enjoy the walk on this amazing scenic trail where you will have fantastic views to Wadi Araba and where finally the Monastery will appear like a mirage.
On our way back to the Visitor Center we will pass Qasr al Bint, the Kings wall, the theatre, just to mention a few highlights.

Day 9 Petra – Wadi Rum Jeep Safari

After breakfast we will drive to Wadi Rum, one of the most fascinating desert landscapes with attractions like rock-bridge and Nabatean inscriptions. Weather and wind have carved the imposing, towering skyscrapers. Climb the rocks and enjoy the breathtaking view over the endless landscape or feel the soft sand of the beautiful sand dunes. We will bring you to this best places by 4x4-jeep. If you wish, experience a fantastic camel ride and enjoy the silence of the desert. After a breathtaking sunset you can learn about the Bedouin way to cook in nature. Sleep under a starry sky or spend the night in a Bedouin tent.

Day 10 Wadi Rum – Dead Sea – Madaba

Have Breakfast in the Bedouin tent like Lawrence of Arabia bevor we continue our tour along Wadi Araba to the lowest place on earth, the Dead Sea, with more than 400 m below sea level. Relax and enjoy floating effortlessly in the warm, soothing, super salty water while soaking up the water's healthy minerals along with the gently diffused rays of the Jordanian sun. After a picnic at the beach we will bring you to Madaba for your last night.

Day 11 Departure

  Transfer to the Airport
